I've been wanting to make t shirt scarves for a while. But I wanted something else from it. Something that has the same style but different material. So I came up with crocheting the the scarf itself :)

After I put makeup & false lashes on:

I used Styrofoam balls to act as "buns," & made holes on both the balls and her head then used plastic tubes, drywall inserts, & long screws to hold them in place.

Here she is with my newly made 86 count red & black yarn falls, I used both macrame knotting & twist swirl technique.

My niece Zoe loves her lol.

Over the past year, I feel that I have greatly improved my makeup skills. I've gone a long way from un blended solid harsh lines to nice and even gradients of various colors.

I went to work today with a bunch of missed calls from a friend, I didn't have time to return them so I put it aside to start my day. Not really thinking it was something to worry about..

I guess my friend called our house phone too and Anthony returned the call. Then gave me the sad news when he came to pick me up.

On Thursday MAY 28, 2009 Jada Elexis Mendoza passed away due to complications from Arnoldchari Malformation type three. Because of this rare disease she wasn't able to breathe, & eat without the help of machines & tubes, and had no control of her muscle functions. One could say that it may have been for the best since it was certain that she would have lived a hard life, but loosing a child is far from easy. Because of constant medical care she needed her mother Eileen Moreno is in no position financially to pay for her daughter's funeral. So I was wondering if anyone here can help. TBG Mother's Day Project

For this month's treasury, our project is to make two mother's day related items.
My original plan was to make necklaces out of recycled news papers, but sadly, that plan didn't work out, my dremel couldn't handle the job, and the beads weren't coming out as "elegant" as I wanted them to be.

Luckily, my fiance found some air drying clay at Micheal's yesterday. I quickly went to work, and to my surprise I finished making them with time to spear :)

Freelance [Makep]

Some of you may know or automatically notice my interest in makeup. I've been exposed to it for about six years and have decided to take it seriously.

Taking makeup seriously, phh am I nuts? Some would ask. Well, why not? I, am an artist, and faces serves as one of my many canvases.

I've been practicing different makeup looks, and application techniques on a professionals point of view for almost a year now and I think I'm ready to start expanding. During the course of that year, I've been collecting makeup, either by joining contests or being lucky enough to be around people who are willing to donate. [I deeply appreciate the help by the way]

I believe I am ready to be a makeup artist, as a freelancer for now. As some of my close friends know, I have A LOT of makeup, but sadly, it isn't enough for me to start freelancing yet. Living in a town full of big families, it will be hard for me to find a gig. Because they will always know a family member who can do it for free.

So, I need to start a portfolio, to build different looks which will enhance the possibility of referrals and a reputation. But like I said, even if it seems I have enough supplies, I'm not even close :( So I need to buy some. But! I'm broke >.>

With that said, an idea came to mind. If anyone locally, [Cutler-Orosi, Dinuba, Reedley or even Visalia] Is/know someone who might be interested in helping me build this portfolio, for only $10.00 per person. The help will be very much appreciated. Aside from the great feeling one would feel by helping those in need, I will in return give that person a makeup makeover, along with picture taking which will be professionally edited, and have the possibility of being part of my portfolio :)

What do you say guys? or gals I should say lol. Think of it as getting a makeover for only $10.00 haha. If I can manage, I'll throw in a hairstyle too!
